Description

Douglas arrived at the centre in very bad shape, the poor man had surely been neglected for a long time. With a leg injury (which is much improved now) and reduced vision. He currently lives in the office, he is a calm dog, he likes to sleep in his fluffy bed and has improved a lot in the short time he has been with us. He is very good and calm

Our vet says: Douglas's eyes are dull and cloudy. We don't know if the retina, which is the nerve part of the eye that is responsible for vision, is functional or not. We are going to try a treatment based on eye drops in case by "cleaning" the front part of the eye a little, some vision could be recovered, but I am afraid that it is possible that it will not improve and that he will be blind. Because of his blindness he cannot be in a cage because he is very sad and disoriented, but the office already knows him and he feels comfortable. Whenever he hears you he looks for you to give him caresses. He is very affectionate.

He seems unfit with other males, he growls at them badly. With females he is happy.

4dx test negative.

Due to his situation it would be ideal to find a foster home.

Health
