Donut llegó al centro con dos hembras pastor alemán.
Es un perro extremadamente inseguro e miedoso.
Comparte la jaula con una de las hembras con que llegó pero no parece reactivo con otros perros en general.
Cuando pasas por enfrente de su jaula se pone a ladrarte fuerte pero cuando entras en su jaula, parece que se encoge en el último rincón por el miedo aunque ya nos conoce. No va en tu busca pero se deja poner bien la correa. Paseando a correa anda a tu lado y a tu ritmo, sin tirar pero siempre mirándote de reojo para ver cómo reaccionas. Se deja tocar y cepillar pero no busca tu atención. Poco a poco durante los paseos está empezando a olisquear un poco y relajarse. Aún así, conseguir esto ha sido un trabajo de muchos meses de una de nuestras voluntarias que lo saca cada semana.
Las veces que lo hemos soltado en una zona vallada, no intenta alejarse y se deja coger bien. Creemos que la vista y el oído le están fallando ya un poco, lo normal a su edad.
Nos encantaría encontrarle un hogar y una familia que pueda entender sus miedos, pueda darle su tiempo y espacio pero que lo cuide, dé las atenciones que necesita, respete y lo quiera con mucho amor y paciencia que tanto le hace falta.
Apto con machos y hembras

Donut arrived at the center with two female German Shepherds.
He is an extremely insecure and fearful dog.
He shares a kennel with one of the females he arrived with, but he doesn't seem reactive with other dogs in general.
When you walk past his kennel, he barks loudly at you, but when you enter, he seems to cower in the far corner out of fear, even though he already knows us. He doesn't come looking for you, but he lets you put the leash on him properly. When walking on a leash, he walks beside you and at your pace, without pulling, but always glancing at you out of the corner of his eye to see how you react. He lets you touch and brush him, but he doesn't seek your attention. Little by little, during walks, he is starting to sniff a bit and relax. Even so, achieving this has been the work of many months by one of our volunteers who takes him out every week.

The times we have let him off-leash in a fenced area, he doesn't try to wander off and lets us pick him up easily. We think his eyesight and hearing are failing a little, which is normal at his age. We would love to find him a home and a family that can understand his fears, give him his time and space, but also care for him, provide the attention he needs, respect him, and love him with all the love and patience he so desperately needs.
